Certified Postpartum & Infant Care Doula. Pre-Certified Infant Feeding Specialist.
Deb has faithfully served families with children of all ages throughout her teen and adult life. Her desire and passion to work with families in both the birth and postpartum period is the perfect way for her to share her patience, calm demeanor, and nurturing support with families desiring a healthy and harmonious labor experience and home atmosphere after their new baby arrives. From her own birth and postpartum experiences, Deb is keenly aware that parents benefit from knowing their choices, and that they can follow their own instincts and feel safe. Her non-judgmental support naturally helps couples feel confident and encouraged when making decisions that best fit their family.
With over 1,000 hours working with postpartum families, Deb is a certifying Labor and Postpartum Doula and member of ProDoula. She is CPR/First Aid Certified and also enjoys supporting local families by volunteering her time in Grow Zone’s Baby Room at Port City Community Church in Wilmington.
Deb and her husband Doug have lived in the surrounding Wilmington area for 25 years with their children Matt and Bethany. In her free time she enjoys watching period pieces on Netflix and PBS, reading, and getting together for lunch and coffee with both new and longtime friends. Now that an empty nest is approaching, Deb appreciates being able to spend more time planning date nights with Doug and traveling more often.
