About Us

Whitney Teel recognizes birth as the human experience that it is. Not simply a means to an end.

As a child, she dreamed of becoming a marine biologist, but as she grew toward adulthood, she felt compelled to combine her love for science, with her heart for sociology. 

​

Through her own personal birth and postpartum experiences, Whitney fell naturally into the role of a doula, and began to pursue the highest level of certification the industry offered. Throughout her career, Whitney has witnessed the rawness associated with birth and early parenting and has developed deep compassion and empathy for those experiencing it. Her unwavering desire to work with families continues to grow stronger and stronger every day.

Leading with her heart, Whitney reminds her clients to trust their instincts. She believes in the power of the inner voice and encourages the parents she works with to do so as well.

Over more than a decade, Whitney has acquired a wealth of evidence-based knowledge and experience to draw from as she supports her clients and leads the team at WCDoulas.

Whitney is a compassionate professional who acknowledges the feelings of others. She is a pillar of strength by each family's side, as they fortify new bonds and develop confidence during their unique journey. It's almost as if Whitney can see one's authentic energy as she provides warm, personalized, and professional support with her gentle, loving, and empathetic approach.

Above all, Whitney is committed to upholding the highest standards for herself and her team of doulas, by providing unbiased support to families with professionalism and accountability.

Whitney resides with her husband Michael of 18 years and their five extraordinary children. Whitney lives for making memories with her family in their lovingly nicknamed RV, "The Teel Mobile." She finds peace and tranquility in organizing personal spaces and loves starting new home projects! Whitney admittedly stays up way too late with Michael catching up on the day and spending quality time together before they rinse and repeat!
